I did my M.Phil. in chemistry at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad in Pakistan. As a chemist, my dream is to find solutions to problems with environmental pollution by using nanotechnology. I applied to the NCNST to fulfill this desire.

I arrived in Beijing on August 30th, 2012. In the beginning everything was new and I felt a bit lonely, but after three days I met my Chinese group fellows and all the loneliness disappeared.

NCNST seems to be a house of nanoscience that is well equipped for this emerging field. During our course in Nanofabrication we got to see the marvelous clean room at the institute, which really impressed me.

My supervisor, Professor Guang-lu Ge, has inspired me a lot. He encourages my ideas about the welfare of human society and the environment. I feel that I am the luckiest person, to be able to satisfy my thirst for knowledge in such a great and leading institute.
