NCNST (National Center for Nanoscience & Technology) offers a great opportunity for the international student program for those who are willing to work hard and wish to be challenged in the Nanoscience research field. They provide an excellent alternative platform for those who are self-motivated and for those who are willing to work hard and put in the time to achieve success. The research faculty (Scientist) and Human Resource Department all of those at NCNST were extremely helpful from the entire corner. During my study I found there was a unique one-to-one type of interaction in the lab meeting for their research progress and to solve the problem in difficulty. Center education core facility always tries to explore the new idea and bring some excellent research and Scientist to motivate the researcher from all direction. At the center closeness of all the staff and students in the department is one of the greatest assets in NCNST.

Standing at the threshold of a world of opportunities, NCNST sets the benchmarks in providing education and research of global standards with a system that matches the best of practices, theories, research, funding resources and standards.

When I joined NCNST as a full time PhD student, the vast field of Nanoscience laid in front of me which was not so familiar to me. However, when I started work here, my esteemed professor opened all doors for me to do my job, which looked fun and at the same time challenging, as I was always asked to be critical in my thinking and understanding of the scientific and analytical approaches during my study. The lectures, seminars conducted by world excellent scientists in our institute offered us global exposure. The personal discussions which I had with my supervisor over the past two years in NCNST have enabled me not only to grow in this new immerging field, but have also taught me how to work within as organization with full dedication and determination.

Every year NCNST is increasing the number of international students and trying to provide excellent educational and living facility. The common notion of overseas students when they enter China for educational purposes is the difficulty in communication. However, the steadfast progress made through the economical growth of China in the recent years have shown promises among the new generation of youths to welcome international languages and culture and also develop their own expertise in communicating with international counterparts.

As a whole, I feel deeply that our Institute can become a pioneer in the field of Nanoscience research in the coming years keeping into view the initiatives undertaken to develop research, infrastructure and human resources complying with international standards. I hopefully look forward to visualize NCNST as a world-class Nanoscience research center meeting the future demands of nanoscience’s applications in development of mankind.
