I am a Master scholar at NCNST, UCAS and let me take you to the beautiful city of Dongguan, Guangdong, China. Alongside my other fellow international students representing various institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, I had the opportunity to explore the Sonshang Lake Materials Laboratory (SLAB) at Dongguan, during the spring school-2024. Courtesy to IC-UCAS for bringing us together from different parts of the world at SLAB. As usual IC-UCAS made sure to provide an outclass opportunity for international students to study the grassroots of the advancements in science and technology in a very fun way where different activities from the host institute helped us learn diverse developments across different fields of material sciences.

Visiting CSNS, high-tech laboratories of the host institute, R&D of Hai Li industry was a mesmerizing moment for each of us. Witnessing the modern facilities provided by Chinese academy of sciences in its institutes ignited the spark of research among all of us and has for sure encouraged us to work diligently and contribute into the growth of the world around us.

Beyond academics, we were also honored to discover the charm, beauty and history of Dongguan through visits to the Sea Battle Museum and city sights. I extend my thanks to IC-UCAS, NCNST, and SLAB for bring us together and organizing this memorable event.
